Introducing the AMS1500 | AMS2000HDD-SSD Series-III shredders, engineered to meet the growing demand for efficient and secure data destruction. Capable of shredding standard hard drives, backup tapes, DVDs, cell phones, and small e-scrap into particles ranging from 10mm (3/8"), 20mm (3/4"), 25mm (1"), and 40mm (1.5") wide particles, these shredders offer versatility and reliability. For enterprise hard drives, which are denser and more robust, the Series-III shredders take slightly longer to ensure thorough destruction.

Dual Functionality for Comprehensive Data Destruction

The Series-III shredders are distinguished by their dual-shaft, slow-speed, high-torque design, manufactured in the U.S. for unmatched quality and durability. They feature a dual-head cutting chamber capable of shredding PCIe NVMe M.2, SATA M.2, U.2/U.3, E1.S, and E3.S/L SSDs on one side and rotary 3.5" and 2.5" spinning mechanical desktop and laptop hard drives on the other. This unique design allows for the destruction of solid-state devices into particles as small as 10mm (3/8") wide, a necessary size to obliterate the memory chips used for data storage. The shredders' 20" wide infeed can be adjusted to accommodate different sizes, ensuring flexibility for various types of media. For example, the 20" wide infeed chute could be configured to accommodate shredding of MacBooks/notebooks, eScrap, and hard drives on one side (14 inches wide entrance) and flash drives, NVMe, and 2.5" SSDs on the other side (6 inches wide entrance) for maximum flexibility.

Precision and Compliance

Understanding the challenges posed by smaller data-bearing devices, we have developed precision clearance cutterheads to ensure the complete destruction of M.2 SATA/NVMe SSDs and other small media. This upgrade is available for all new HDD-SSD shredders, with retrofit packages offered for models purchased after 2018. Additionally, an optional Data Capture System helps electronic recyclers meet R2v3 requirements by photographing the drive, capturing barcodes, and videotaping the shredding process, complete with time-stamped documentation.
